There is something powerful about Ekhart Tolle and something that disturbs me about his sudden rise in fame. It’s not about him, but about my desperate need for leadership and awakening. What’s are we really asking for when we read his stuff? What responsibility are we avoiding? and How does he perfectly feeding my need to rise above my guilty American conscious that doesn’t know how to handle being an American with the agenda of world domination. But that’s too large when we’re talking about love and relationship.
I guess the key word Ekhart writes is Honest. I don’t fancy placing love in the eyes of spirituality that calls on man to transcend. This lift off usually calls us to rise up above our own humanity, and it breathes shame in the way we honestly love.
Not even the gods love so unconditionally, and last i checked Mother Theresa’s unconditional love didn’t exactly spur me to invite her to spread her legs. Isn’t that why we doll up with expensive jeans? To love is to want, and love can be violent. Falling in love has ripped me to shreds. Isn’t it cruel to ask a person to be conscious of all their transference and projections. I think it’s impossible. We love unconsciously. That’s human. that’s honest. Yeah, sure we can work through the unconsciousness, but i sometimes don’t have a clue why i get hard. It’s exciting to awaken from another part of my being, and not just from my conscious brain.
and god bless the spanish language for being inclusive of both the raw passion of wanting to take “te queiro coger” with the altruistic egoless love of “te queiro, amorcito” Can you picture Billy Holiday singing Kumbaya?
I know i’m being a flipboy, but transcending calls us to look up. And that kind of spirituality just breathes airy lofty, godly, blinding light. The soul, the psyche, is fuming and bubbling from down deep. transcending just furthers ignores and represses the fullness of our present human condition that is desperately acting out with total petulance against the world. We must walk amongst men and honestly admit we carry more than love, more than the good stuff, we kill in the name of love, freedom, etc.
I’d love (for pure ego driven reasons) to see a form where Ekhart Tolle and 82 year old James Hillman converse on matters of Spirit and Soul and love and war. Maybe it should just be Roush and Dominguez raking out some philosophies over some raped south american rain forest coffee. What do you say?
PS. I dig your mom too. PSS. VOTE OBAMA

Look where this this ended up!
He has a wonderful amount of texture doesn’t he? Camera lens likes it..
Great shot! You are a great photographer! :0
Interesting shot. What is the lady on the right holding? Last night we had 38 minutes of super fireworks at Mathews High School. We really know how to celebrate the 4th of July here;)
I like this one!

Wow.
Well, if Obama gets elected, we’ll get to see if things get “changed to a socialistic fiasco.”
If he turns out to be one of the great leaders of America, a president who guides the country through a very troubled time and into a better place, then we can bring up these comments of yours and ask WHAT THE HECK WAS WRONG WITH YOUR BRAIN when you were acting like this.
Seriously, I’m really surprised by this unthinking regurgitation of the idiotic socialism talk.
Is the mom I know still in there somewhere, hidden under all the fear-based propaganda you’re being fed?
Thanks Jeremy for the additional writings. I love that stuff. What’s your teaching schedule? Are you usually there Saturday Mornings? Alonso
